Softball

Everyone read the Mo Yan preface, and I think they have some appreciation of the struggles, but it's really hard to empathize at their age. I at least wanted to give them examples of people deep severe experiences that lead to something positive. Xifo is close to comprehending, but they have both been thrown softballs so far.

Speaking of which, apparently Xifo is really good at softball in her PE class. She's coordinated and is able to think on the fly, and she got recruited to play on the school team. Of course, she's playing tennis instead..

Xilo was not cooperative with the sitter, so the sitter handed off responsibility to Xifo on the way home. Not sure if I'm more frustrated with the sitter or Xilo.
